The hair-loss conditions we treat — and why an honest diagnosis of the cause always comes before any talk of surgery.
A hair transplant is the right answer for some causes of hair loss and the wrong one for others. Understanding what is driving your loss — and whether it has stabilised — is the difference between grafts well spent and grafts wasted.
Not sure whether surgery is right for your situation? That is exactly what an honest assessment is for — see hair transplant in Turkey or send us your photos.
Diagnosis before surgery, always
Different causes of hair loss need different answers. Pattern (androgenetic) loss responds well to a transplant once it is stable; temporary shedding, autoimmune conditions and untreated medical causes usually need addressing first. That is why we assess the cause and the stability of your loss before recommending anything.
Frequently asked questions
Which hair-loss conditions can a transplant treat?
Stable pattern loss, traction loss and stable scarring with a healthy donor. Active autoimmune loss and untreated medical causes need treatment first.
How do you diagnose the cause?
Through your history, photos or an in-person exam, and — where needed — dermatoscopy and blood tests to rule out thyroid, iron or hormonal causes.
Is a transplant always the answer?
No. For some causes, medical treatment first is the honest step — and we will tell you if that is the case for you.
